What Sets Us Apart As A Woman Owned Sports Bra Brand.

Great Gear For Women Athletes. No Compromises.

We believe that women deserve the best—especially when it comes to athletic gear. For too long, women’s sports apparel has been treated as an afterthought: watered-down designs, limited size ranges, and materials that simply don’t hold up to real performance.

At Lume Six, we don’t settle for second best. We don’t accept limited product ranges, inferior materials, or designs that weren’t built for top-level performance. Women athletes of every discipline work hard in their sports, and they deserve gear that works just as hard as they do.

As a woman owned sports bra brand, we built Lume Six with a clear goal: the best gear for women athletes.

"I created Lume Six because while working in the sports apparel industry, I saw that women weren't getting access to the best possible gear."

Why Does Being a Woman Owned Sports Bra Brand Matter?

Being a woman owned sports bra brand isn’t just a label—it directly impacts how we make product decisions and means we care deeply about the needs of women athletes.

As an independently owned brand run by women, we don’t have to answer to outside stakeholders who question whether women “really need” premium performance features. We don’t have to justify investing in better fabrics, more inclusive sizing, or thoughtful design details that actually solve problems.

And yes, that kind of questioning still happens—even at large, well-intentioned brands.

We’re doing it our own way.

Because when women are the decision-makers (especially for something so specific to what we need), women’s performance comes first. Always.

We start with high-performance fabrics, focus on features that solve real frustrations, and work directly with women athletes to create sports bras that function in demanding outdoor environments.

This is what happens when women design gear for women.

What Does That Mean for You?

It means the product works.

Our sports bras are designed to be:

  • Supportive, without restriction

  • Comfortable, even on long days

  • Fast-drying, so you’re not dealing with a soggy bra the next morning

  • Reliable, mile after mile, adventure after adventure

We don’t make anything we wouldn’t wear ourselves—for days on end, in real conditions, on epic adventures.

“We don’t make anything that we wouldn’t wear ourselves.”

From backpackers to ultrarunners, Olympians to surfers, mountain bikers to everyday adventurers—women across sports trust Lume Six. Our reviews consistently reflect the same theme: sports bras designed by a woman owned sports bra brand finally work the way women have always wanted them to.

So, What Do We Do Differently?

Mix-and-Match Sizing

Women’s bodies don’t fit into a one-size-fits-all mold—and neither should sports bras. Our mix-and-match sizing allows you to choose band and chest sizes separately, so you’re not settling for a bra that fits in one place and fails in another.

Better fit = better support = better performance.

Comfortable, Thoughtful Straps

No digging. No collapsing. No pressure points.

Our straps are designed with soft cushioning that distributes weight evenly across the shoulder. They stay in place, lay flat, and remain comfortable—even during long days with a pack or high-impact movement.

Fabrics That Actually Dry

We’ve all been there: pulling on a cold, damp sports bra the morning after a hard effort. It’s uncomfortable—and unnecessary.

Our fabrics are selected for real-world performance, meaning they dry quickly and stay comfortable so you can keep going the next day without the gross factor.

Designed by Women, Tested by Women

Women care deeply about the frustrations other women experience with sports bras—because we’ve lived them. We’re not trying to make more of the same thing. We’re committed to making something better.

That mindset is central to how we operate because we are a woman owned sports bra brand.

Built for Outdoor Athletes

Many sports bras are designed with short workouts in mind (or no workout at all). Ours are built for long days, unpredictable conditions, and demanding environments.

Whether you’re trail running, bikepacking, surfing, climbing, or spending multiple days in the backcountry, our bras are designed to move with you—not against you.

Supporting Women Beyond the Product

Being a woman owned sports bra brand goes beyond what we sell—it shapes everything we do.

We actively support women athletes by:

  • Telling women’s stories

  • Highlighting underrepresented athletes and sports

  • Running a grant giveaway program that puts money directly into the hands of women chasing their goals

As Lume Six grows, so will the ways we support women in sport. The products are just the beginning.

Why Choosing a Woman Owned Sports Bra Brand Matters

When you choose a woman owned sports bra brand, you’re choosing:

  • Better fit

  • Better performance

  • Better representation

  • Better support for women in sport

You’re supporting a future where women’s athletic gear isn’t an afterthought—but the standard.

The best gear for women athtletes. No compromises. Ever.

Lume Six is a woman owned sports bra brand created to give women athletes access to truly high-performance gear.

Our sports bras are designed by women, tested by women, and built for real-world conditions.

We focus on better fit, better fabrics, and thoughtful features that solve common sports bra frustrations.

Comfort, support, and durability are never compromised—no matter the sport or environment.

Beyond products, we’re committed to supporting women athletes and advancing women in sport.

Margaux

Founder of Lume Six sports bras. I spent my career developing technical sports apparel. I created Lume Six because I knew sports bras could be so much better, but didn't see the big brands making great products in a category so important or women athletes. My main sport is mountain biking, but have been a life-long athlete across a variety of sports.
